Who is this toolkit for?
The following toolkit is designed for any mental health practitioners working across remote, rural or regional NSW who wish to understand more about working with LGBTQIA+SB people and have not completed speciality training.

What does this toolkit include?
This is an introductory toolkit to working with individuals who are LGBTQIA+SB and is not exhaustive nor designed as a treatment manual. We encourage all practitioners who are working with LGBTQIA+SB individuals to seek specialised training and engage in supervision.

A note on language.

The Peregrine Centre recognises and values the diversity of LGBTQIA+SB communities. While this toolkit contains information on how to navigate language, individuals may have their own preferences. In practice, listen and reflect the language of the person. If in doubt, ask their preferences.
